Pretty gates and entrances

The houses in Erbil are fronted by the most pretty gates with interesting patterns and colours. I almost got arrested today as I wandered the local streets near to my neighbourhood, blithely capturing images. A local security guy took umbridge and followed me in his car, stopping me and telling me to get in so he could take me to the police station. After a phone call to my husband and a rescue from him, all was made clear. An eventful afternoon stroll, I must say...

House designs Erbil

Interesting housing designs are everywhere here in Erbil. They tend to be two or three stories high, quite colorful and have an art deco feel to them.
